A indie teen drama deprived of after-school special cliches which centers on the choices teens make in identifying themselves with labels like “jock” and “nerd,” and how limiting and damaging these narrow televised image can be. Jake (Randy Wayne) and Roger (Robert Bailey Jr.) had been the best of childhood friends, but in high school, they became sporadic, Jake is popular an athletic star, with a dream girlfriend and a glorious future. Roger is a moody and closed-in cast out, who makes obsolete decision that crushes Jake’s world.

Jake attempts to build a bridge between the popular kids and outsiders reveals the humbling caste system that has always been predominant in high schools. A script by Jim Britts and directorial debut from Brian Baugh with ideology “To Save a Life” challenges the tradition of staying within your own “kind” in high school, society or elsewhere.
