Slumdog Millionaire receive TOP Honors at the 81ST Academy Awards, the movie Directed by Danny Boyle won best picture, director, screenplay, score, song, cinematography, sound mixing, and film editing. Slumdog Millionaire is story of 18-year man from the slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? And his participation goes beyond expectations, arousing the suspicions of the game show host and of law enforcement officials.

No Country for Old Men Won Oscar

No Country for Old Men won four Academy Awards, including best picture, in the Oscar Ceremony. Javier Bardem won for best supporting actor in “No Country for Old Men,” while Coen Brothers- Ethan Coen & Joel Coen won best director as best adapted screenplay and the best-picture honor as producers.

Daniel Day-Lewis won his second best-actor Oscar for the oil-boom epic “There Will Be Blood” while Marion Cotillard portrayed iconic French singer Édith Piaf in the biopic La Vie En Rose was surprise winner for best actress portraying her role as Edith Piaf which lead her to Oscar triumph over Julie Christie, who had been expected to win for “Away From Her.”
